The Balm I Use in Every Session (And Why That Matters)

There are a lot of products in the massage world.

A lot of scents.

A lot of claims.

A lot of pretty packaging.

But when you are working with bodies all day — real people, real pain, real nervous systems — what you put on your hands matters. That’s why I make my own balm. Not because it’s trendy. Not because it photographs well. But because I refuse to use something on my clients that I wouldn’t want absorbed into my own body.

Why I Started Making My Own

After years of hands-on work — therapeutic massage, TMJ integration — I realized something:

If I’m touching 4–6 bodies a day, that product is living on my hands.

It affects:

  • My joints

  • My skin

  • My longevity

  • My energy

So I began blending my own. Natural herbs. Simple, clean ingredients. No fillers. No artificial fragrance. Just what works.

It’s Not Just About Slip

A good balm isn’t just about glide.

It’s about:

  • Warmth without irritation

  • Support without heaviness

  • Absorption without stickiness

  • Nervous system calm without overpowering scent

When I work on TMJ, neck tension, or chronic shoulder patterns, I need a product that supports therapeutic depth — not one that distracts from it. This balm allows me to stay connected.

Longevity Matters

This career is physical. And if I plan to do this work for decades (which I do), I have to protect my hands as much as I protect my clients’ bodies.

Because I make this balm myself:

  • I know exactly what’s in it

  • I know how it feels after 5 sessions

  • I know it supports my own skin and joints

It’s part of my sustainability as a therapist. And that matters.

Every Client. Every Session.

I don’t rotate products.

I don’t have a “special occasion” oil.

This is what I use — every client, every time.

Because consistency builds trust.

And wellness isn’t about hype.

It’s about integrity.
